Based on research done by the American Horticultural Therapy Association, the benefits of a green environment are many; they can be cognitive, psychological and physical.  Turn off the stresses of the day and really concentrate on the sights, sounds, and smells of nature.  Many benches are located throughout the gardens of Natives Haven; you are encouraged to sit, relax, engage your senses and enjoy the gardens' benefits.

Natives Haven Nursery is different than other nurseries!  Here you can observe native plants available for purchase in a natural setting and in formal beds. Signs have been placed in the beds with information on the plants' characteristics. Over an acre of land is dedicated to a wildflower prairie containing 100 different species of native wildflowers and grasses.   Several plants on the property are on the federally threatened and endangered list.

Natives Haven is landscaped in a way to provide many design ideas to showcase how native plants can be used even in smaller settings, such as subdivisions or properties with minimal garden space, where a more manicured look is desired.  We invite you to take some time to enjoy the rejuvenating benefits Natives Haven’s gardens can provide. Come and stroll the meandering paths surrounded by wildflower display beds on 6.25 acres.  A large pond with a fountain is nestled in between.  You will be astounded at the amount of birds, butterflies and pollinators these native plants attract!
